The Party

We had a great time with our guests this past weekend. Travis and Mason arrived Wednesday, Andrew got here Thursday, and Katie and Mallory came on Friday. The weather was very nice while everyone was here except for 6pm on Saturday which was exactly when the party started. It had been about 98 degrees all day and as soon as 6:00 rolled around, so did the clouds; along with high winds, slight rain, thunder and lightening. All of that except the clouds went by so people were still able to hang out outside. It actually cooled things off a bit, it just wasn't pretty out. Several of our co-workers and our bosses showed up as well as a couple neighbors. Good times were had by all. Now is all the clean-up before another go-round this weekend. Hazen has invited all of his co-workers and their families over for a BBQ before heading downtown for the Boise Burn arena football game. YEAH!!!

The weather was so nice that we got Mason a swimming pool that she absolutely loved.

In Need of a Break

With the last weekend before the housewarming part coming to an end, we are ready for a break. For the next several weekends we are not doing any "house stuff". This weekend was mostly spent working on the water feature in the back yard and staining the fence. It was a great weekend to be outside. Perfect weather. We are so excited to be having people visiting next week. Hopefully everyone will like our home.

You've already seen this photo (or one similar) but needed to do a before and after
After being pressure washed and stained. Looks pretty good.
This was the mess of a water feature that was existing in our back yard.
Not quite finished but we're getting there. Still need to add some bark and flowers.

Getting Ready for Shindig

Since Aubree has recovered from the brink of death, we got a little bit done around the house this weekend. And since we haven't posted about the weekend before, we also got a lot done last weekend as well. We finally finished getting all the mortar off the house. YEAH!!!!!! We are so glad to be done with that. We don't know why nobody has tried that before. Aubree then got sick starting on Tuesday and was in bed all week. Went to the ER Tuesday night and got CAT scan to make sure it wasn't appendix. CAT scan came back fine except for a couple ovarian cysts (which they didn't tell us about. Found out from doc she saw on Friday). Decided there was nothing that could be done except take antibiotics for what MAY have been an early urinary tract infection (Not believing that's what it was). Still out for a couple more days and saw a family practice doctor on Friday. He thinks it was two separate issues. Lower right pain when pushed on, he thinks was the cysts. Higher abdominal pain he thinks is either ulcers or too much acid in stomach. Prescribed meds for that which seemed to help. Started feeling better Saturday evening. We got the hot tub cleaned out in case anyone wants to use it while they are here for the house warming party. Hazen started building his water feature in the back yard (work in progress). Need to paint the fence but did the pressure washing today so it will dry all week and paint next weekend. Hazen built new fence in front with a gate so the meter readers can do their job. Now we are trying to relax so we can start our work week.
