Grand Opening of Yoti Pub!

Heather and Ryan flew in early Friday morning. We picked them up and headed downtown for bagels. They were quite tasty. Went to the house to drop off bags and show them the pad. The following pictures chronicle the next 48 hours.

Getting ready for some frisbee golf

Uh Oh! Somebody went in the water!

Shuffleboard at the Eastside
We finally came up with a name for our bar. This name is of one of the bars we visited in Turkey.
Raki is an herbal liquor from Turkey that we have fond memories of. We found some online!
If you've never had it before, you should come to Yoti Pub and see what it's all about.

SNOW!!!!!

OMG! It's snowing on October 10. It was 90 degrees 9 days before and now it's snowing! Unbelievable. Hazen is ecstatic though. He's hoping it will bring in a lot more snow contracts for his work this winter. I'm sure it will be a white Christmas this year. Sarah, I don't know about anybody else, but I will definitely snow shoe with you.

I don't think Hazen ever put up a post about his hunting adventures either. He was up early on a Friday so he could be to his hunting spot by sunrise. He saw several antelope throughout the day, but they were either not big enough or too far away. Turns out they are pretty fast. Just before sunset he saw one that he could get and went for it. Quite the long day for him. Especially since the drive back home is about an hour and a half then he had to skin it (by himself) when he got back. We have heard that antelope meat isn't very good so he only cut out a couple steaks and the rest went to the butcher to be made into pepperoni, breakfast sausage and spicy brats. We should get the meat back in another week or so. Will let you know what we think of it. Hazen tried one of the steaks already, said it wasn't that bad. Didn't know what everyone else was talking about.

Driscoll Wedding

We had an amazing time last weekend at Heather and Ryan's wedding. It was non-stop all weekend but we enjoyed every minute of it. Hated to come home Sunday night and have to go to work Monday morning. We didn't get any pics of the actual ceremony so hopefully some got a couple. Here a just a few photos that may represent the awesomeness that was the "Driscoll Wedding".

Lovely Weekend

Grandma, Dawn and Joshua showed up Friday around noon. Perfect timing for lunch. We headed down to Art in the Park where there were tons of art booths set up but also some food vendors. (We also found some excellent elephant ears!) Headed back to the house afterwards for a nap. Stayed home that evening and visited. Saturday we went down to the farmers market which was nice that there weren't so many people there as normal. Back to the house for a nap which was followed by a trip to the zoo. Josh seemed interested but may still have been a little too young. Another nap in the afternoon (by everyone in the house) then took Grandma to dinner at Mai Thai for her birthday. Sunday morning we spent playing in the back yard. We all went to dinner at the Ram. They all took off Monday morning to get an early start to the long drive. We had a great weekend and was glad Joshua was able to get out of Washington for a while. He definitely needed some sun!

Mason, I hope you don't mind if Joshua borrowed your pool.

Bridal Shower

I flew in to Portland Friday morning for Heather's Bridal Shower on Sunday. I am feeling pretty lazy right now so I'm not going to write much, just put up some pics. Went to lunch with mom and dad Friday then out to Market Street Pub later that night to meet up with Kasey, Joey, Tara and Faith. Saturday I went to Olympia with mom and Shawna then had a great smoked turkey dinner that dad made. Dinner was just mom, dad, me and Spud. "It was a couples thing". Sunday was the shower which turned out pretty well and afterwards and went to dinner with Barry and Teri. Had to get up at 4:30 monday morning to catch my plane home. All in all it was a good weekend. Cant wait for Grandma and Dawn to get here on Friday.
