It's March!!!
Wow, I can't believe March is finally here. Now hopefully we will have a baby this month. I had my last doctor's appointment on Friday and there was no news so far. I am not dilated at all and the doc's comment was "I'd plan on being pregnant the whole month." It's definitely getting more "interesting" to sleep, or maybe not sleep. If I thought I was uncomfortable sleeping a few weeks ago, I knew nothing. Luckily, besides the non-sleeping and the cankles, things have still be going pretty well. I feel very lucky to have had it as easy as I have. I don't have much time left at work before my leave. Only a couple more days this week, 4 days next week, and 3 days the week after that. So I guess only 9 actual work days to go! Then hopefully Sawyer won't be to far along after that. We are getting very excited and can't wait for this little guy to get here. And we can't wait for all of you to meet him.

Blankets and Nursery
I am spending the day washing up clothes and blankets and getting everything organized. Hazen put up some shelves in the nursery and I think it is pretty much ready for baby. I am putting up some pics of blankets that were made for Sawyer and a couple of the finished nursery.
My cousin, Stacee, made this. She used the same pattern as ones that were made for us when were were babies.
My mom made this one. The back is the giraffe material which is pretty soft.

WA Baby Shower
My family threw me a wonderful baby shower last weekend. I had a great time seeing everyone one last time before the baby is born. I know everyone is excited to meet little Sawyer. Including me and Hazen. I got almost everything from the shower back with me to Boise. We are pretty much set on the nursery. Everything is coming together. We just need the little guy to get here. Following are pics of stuff we got from the shower.

Sawyer's Blanket
Well it took some doin' but I finally got Sawyer's blanket finished. It seems like I have problems with the sewing machine every time I use it. I finally had Hazen take it to the repair store because I didn't know what else to do with it and it would have sat half finished for years. Turns out all that was wrong was I had the wrong size bobbin. Thanks Mom for telling me there were different size bobbins. Anyway, I'm no seamstress but I guess it turned out alright.
The top 3 materials of for the front squares and the bottom flannel piece is for the back.

Christmas
We had a great time over Christmas break. Made it to WA for a week and a half. It was very nice to be able to spend some time with family and friends. We made it back to Boise last night after the long drive home. It's a good thing we took the truck because we were loaded down. Now back to work and getting ready for Sawyer. Our next adventures are too far away. The beginning of February is the baby shower and Hazen's trip to California.

Nursery
Hazen hates when I say that "we" have been working on the nursery. So I guess I will give him the credit and say that Hazen has done an excellent job getting the nursery ready. Painting stripes is quite the challenge. He also refinished the floors. What a great husband! Here is our nursery. Will have blues and greens to accent the brown.

Thanksgiving Road Trip
The four of us (Hazen, Me, Lucy and Baby) headed out the day before Thanksgiving. We had a quick, but very nice dinner with some friends just outside Salt Lake City. Thursday morning we went south to St. George. Nice 70 degree weather for a couple days to warm us up. The state parks allow dogs on trails but the national parks don't, so we were slightly limited on where we could take Lucy. We ended up going to a remote part of the Grand Canyon that not many people travel to. Drove about 75 miles on a gravel/dirt road which was not quite what we were expecting. The view was amazing though once we got there. I have never been there and Hazen was there when he was young. Didn't really want to leave because we had to get back on the gravel road for hours. We did a loop back up through Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks and back to Salt Lake on Saturday. The parks were beautiful. Huge red cliffs and wierd terrain. The elevation at Bryce Canyon was pretty high, so we did get a little snow there. Tried to make it all the way back to Boise Saturday but couldn't do it. It was a long time in the car (and more bathroom breaks than Hazen would have liked) but we had a great time.
